Doreida Xhogu is a visual artist of Albanian origin who graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2021. Doreida's artistic research is mainly focusing on identity and ethnicity issues. She experiments with a wide range of materials and techniques -matter is on the core of her practice. Sculpture, minerals, straw, drawing, photography and video are some of the media she employs. Collaborations are equally important, she often works in synergy with designers, filmmakers or photographers. In addition, she often creates diaries and DIY books using combinations of unexpected materials. Doreida is a founding member of Krikos Social Group, a collaborative venue for cultural events. She lives and works in Athens, Greece.
